Please join us for a weaving class during which you will be creating your own obelisk /plant support. The obelisk is expected to measure approximately 40cm diameter at the base and stand 150 cm tall. Perfect for any climbers e.g. sweet peas, Clematis!
Judi began weaving with willow in 2017 attending workshops around the country, then in 2018 she spent a year learning with the very talented Debbie Hall in Cambridgeshire. Thereafter, Judi further developed her skills through City and Guilds certification in Creative basketry in 2019.
Since then, Judi attends regular workshops to hone existing skills and to learn new ones. She is passionate about the art of basketry and has a deep respect for the craft, its history and culture and for those who so generously share their knowledge and skills in order to keep this ancient tradition alive.
Cost per person will be £38, to cover tuition and materials and refreshments. Please register your interest via Facebook, only 6 spaces available. A deposit will be required.
Please bring your own secateurs, gardening gloves and snacks.
