Hedgehog & Wildlife Talk with special guests from Woody's Wildlife Rescue
The trustees would like to thank Woody's Wildlife Rescue and all who attended todays talk. We were very grateful for the speakers Sue and Bronwyn who help these animals at Woody's Wildlife Rescue to come along today.
The feedback we recieved from the event has been very positive - as I'm sure everybody who attended will agree, it was a very insightful, interesting and fun presentation throughout.
We delved into many aspects of wildlife rescue, for example; learning when to call a rescuer for a variety of animals, Sue and Bronwyn's day to day at the rescue, how to help and support wildlife in your garden and much more! A much loved addition to the talk was the multitude of animals that they care for, with the attendees having the opportunity handling a small 3 month old hedgehog, small black squirrel, and lastly, a much larger hedgehog! We also got to see how Sue feeds the fledgling pigeons in her care. They were just as sweet as they sound - we were also very fortunate to have lovely sunny weather on our side too.
It was really great to be have the talk being surrounded by wildlife in the gardens. Don't forget you can come any time to enjoy the space - you might see a squirrel or a hedgehog there yourself!
Woody's Wildlife Rescue are currently looking for funds to help provide for a bigger unit so they can support more animals in need. If you would like to donate please go to their GoFundMe page HERE.
Please see below for a small selection of photos from the event. We look forward to hosting Woody's again in the future if Sue and Bronwyn's busy schedule allows!
